I know you all love a nosy in my fridge, and today’s a good day for it: I’ve just done a big shop after planning everything I’m cooking and filming this week.

  • The door: the usual ketchups, butter, and my herbs – which, as you know, I always keep cut and standing in water in the fridge. Plus juices and two bottles of ready-mixed cocktails (watermelon and cosmopolitan).
  • Top shelf: the jars and sauces we all have, duck fat, cottage cheese, yoghurt, gochujang, my cowboy candy and some spare watermelon juice.
  • Further down: little bottles of cava for cocktails, roast garlic, chicken stock, my absolute favourite grapes (I always buy two boxes), wine, and eggs – which I don’t normally refrigerate in the UK, but my kitchen gets really hot.
  • This week’s recipes: a spare watermelon, a butternut squash, duck breasts, poussin and beef.
  • The drawers: vegetables, a cheese and chocolate drawer (don’t ask), cooked meats – ham, salami, guanciale – and the salad drawer.
  • The other side: miso, chilli and crispy chilli, mango chutney, sandwich spread, mayo, salad cream, Kewpie, milk, more wine – and always a bottle of lime.

And those beautiful rainbow beetroots? They’re going into a curry tonight.
