I know you’re here for the food, but I also know some of you are here for the fashion – so here’s the wardrobe tour I’ve been threatening since before India.

This year I’m mixing what I already have with baby pink, which I absolutely adore: a cardigan and skirt from Zara, plus two simple wrap dresses I picked up in India for about £15 each. I’ve bought red shoes to go with pink and white – I’m all about clashing. I’m beyond heels these days; it’s ballet pumps all the way.

My wardrobe rules:

  • Always have one or two shirt dresses.
  • Go for separates. One skirt plus a pile of old T-shirts makes three or four different outfits.
  • Edit regularly. If I haven’t worn something for a couple of years, it goes to a local hospice charity shop.
  • Swap things over between seasons – the heavy winter bits live in storage under the bed.

And yes, you get a peek in my drawers (no, you don’t need to see my underwear). The finishing touches today: Butler & Wilson earrings, Lisa Eldridge lipstick, and a T-shirt I’ve had for about ten years. Fashion advice from the cook – who knew?
