Someone bought me one of these at a recent lunch and I knew I had to share it. It’s an after-dinner shot that tastes exactly like a jam doughnut – sugar-crusted rim and all. Incredibly sweet, so one is plenty.

Ingredients

Serves 1

  • Chambord (raspberry liqueur)
  • Double cream
  • Caster sugar, for the rim
  • A little water

Method

  1. Dip the rim of a shot glass in water, then roll it in plenty of caster sugar.
  2. Fill the glass about three-quarters full with Chambord.
  3. Hold a teaspoon upside down just above the Chambord and very slowly pour the double cream over the back of the spoon so it floats on top.

Jules’s tip

A bigger shot glass is ideal if you have one. Go slowly with the cream – layering is all about patience.

Cheers! – Jules x
