I’m not a fan of frozen daiquiris (blitzing ice puts me on edge), so this one is shaken. Elderflower makes the strawberries sing.
Ingredients
Serves 2 (easily halved)
- 160g fresh strawberries
- 120ml white rum
- 50ml lime juice
- 40ml elderflower liqueur (or 15–20ml sugar syrup)
- Ice
- A strawberry, to decorate
Method
- Muddle the strawberries in a cocktail shaker.
- Add the rum, lime juice and elderflower liqueur, then fill with ice.
- Shake and strain into glasses. Decorate with a strawberry and drop in a couple of ice cubes to keep it chilled.
Jules’s tip
I like it quite tart – add a little sugar syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
Cheers! – Jules x
