Spicy Margarita

Lots of chilli coming at you. You can use my chilli syrup, or – as I do here – the brine from a jar of cowboy candy (candied jalapeños).

Ingredients

Serves 1

• Brown sugar and Tajín, for the rim
• 60ml tequila
• 20ml triple sec or Cointreau
• 40ml lime juice
• 2 tsp cowboy candy brine (or chilli syrup)
• A few cowboy candy jalapeños
• Ice, plus one large ice cube to serve

Method

1. Rim a glass with a mix of brown sugar and Tajín and add a large lump of ice and a few candied jalapeños.
2. Shake the tequila, triple sec, lime juice and brine with ice.
3. Strain over the ice in your glass.
