Invented for my friend Bruce, using honeydew melon and limoncello. Not too sweet and absolutely delicious – I’d put it right up there with my Watermelon Fresh.
Ingredients
Serves 1
- 35ml vodka
- 20ml limoncello
- 15ml dry vermouth
- 60ml honeydew melon juice
- 2 drops orange bitters (or 1 drop Angostura)
- 10ml lemon juice
- A little pinch of sea salt
- Ice
- Melon balls on a stick, to garnish (optional)
Method
- Put everything in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Lid on and give it a really good shake.
- Strain into a super-chilled glass.
Jules’s tip
The pinch of salt really brings out the sweetness of the melon. Scoop a few melon balls before you juice it so you can garnish your glass.
