One of my followers, MIJ, suggested I come up with a cocktail to celebrate the Red Roses’ fantastic win in the women’s rugby – so here it is, the Red Roses Celebration. Thank you for the idea!
I started with the colour I wanted, and who doesn’t love Chambord? The elderflower somehow feels so very British.
You’ll need (serves 1): 20ml Chambord, 20ml elderflower liqueur, 20ml vodka, 60ml pineapple juice, ice, fizz to top up (cava, prosecco or champagne) and a couple of raspberries.
Method: Shake the Chambord, elderflower, vodka and pineapple juice over ice and strain into a glass. Because it’s a celebration, top it up with fizz and drop in a couple of raspberries.
I love the little bottles of cava – it saves opening a whole bottle. Congratulations to the Red Roses!
