Sorry, Dallas, but I love Fort Worth about a million times more. It feels like a town rather than a city, and it’s much more my cup of tea.
After lunch on the square (and one delicious strawberry margarita), we headed over the Trinity River to the Fort Worth Stockyards – authentic, sincere and full of character. We passed a very famous Mexican restaurant with just two things on the menu and very small margaritas; I’m told it’s a bit hyped, but people love it.
Then out to Ron’s hometown of Duncanville, a leafy suburb of Dallas with cute houses where you can just picture kids on bikes. A lovely day.
